Always deliver more than expected.

This has been both motivation and guiding principle for almost 20 years. In 2003, Mark Heuse and Pierre Stitterich founded the event agency SaxEvent GmbH. After initial steps in the event sector, the company quickly grew into a full-service agency. Today, SaxEvent specializes primarily in personnel services. But who are the people behind it?

An Interview with Yvonne

Yvonne, what was your journey to SaxEvent?

I first met Pierre — and especially Mark — through promotion work. That’s where our paths initially crossed. Over the years, we kept sporadic contact, even though our ways had separated. Then we happened to meet again by chance in a department store where I was working and Mark was there for a business meeting. At that time, I had been a mother for a year and was looking for a new job — one not primarily in retail. The working hours in retail were no longer manageable with a child. Mark needed support and initially offered me a part-time position as a project assistant.

Since when have you been working for SaxEvent?

I’ve been working here for twelve incredibly exciting years. I started in 2010, and what began as just a few hours a week soon turned into a full-time job. Today, I’m a project manager and support our clients with advice, action, and heart.

What do you particularly like about working here?

I could name countless things, but what matters most to me are the blind understanding and trust. It’s like an old married couple who knows each other's quirks — but couldn’t be without each other.

How has your life changed since then?

I’ve learned a lot — not just about myself as an employee, but also as a person. My wild and impetuous life has become calmer, more pleasant, and I’ve grown more composed. Mark isn’t just my boss; he’s also a mentor. Especially when I tend to take things too much to heart, he reminds me: “Yvonne, can you change it? No? Then it is what it is.”

Mark and Pierre are the most caring employers I know. They always have an open ear — it’s a give and take. I live for this company just as much as they do. Especially the growth in the past four years has brought stress — but we also have an incredible amount of fun doing it.

Who is Yvonne outside of work?

I’m happily married and the mother of a wonderful 13-year-old daughter. Sports and physical activity are important to me — and to us as a family. We love hiking and going on pilgrimages — just getting out into the woods and nature. I also love photography and capturing moments. And I’m the kind of person who speaks directly — I don't hide my opinion but express it openly. That’s something we live by here at SaxEvent. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why we work so well together.
